Yorkshire Dance
Dance in the North is a consortium of dance organisations and venues committed to enhancing artist development and dance programming in the North of England. This new co-commission supports the development of a new dance performance with public work-in-progress showings at scratch nights throughout 2026-27. The successful applicant will benefit from commissioning fees, rehearsal space, and technical residencies across multiple partner venues including Dance City and The Lowry.
£12,500 commissioning fee, scratch night performance opportunities in Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds (with additional presentation fees), research and technical residencies, mentoring, dramaturgy, and tour-booking support.
Must be a dance artist or company living and working in the North of England with a proven track record in creating dance performance and managing funded projects. Artists or companies receiving regular ACE National Portfolio funding are not eligible.
