Radal Studio
Located in a valley between two hills near Bariloche, Radal Studio provides an immersive environment for printmaking. The 'White Hills and Silent Footsteps' call is for one or two-week residencies in the southern hemisphere winter. Artists can choose from three modalities: Basic Training (for beginners/students), Guided Specialization (technical supervision in non-toxic processes), or Self-Directed (independent work for experienced printmakers). Techniques available include linocut, etching and aquatint with salt mordants, polyester plate lithography, photolithography, blind embossing, collagraph, and cyanotype.
Private accommodation with attached bathroom, 24-hour printmaking studio access, basic tools and supplies, and technical guidance for specific modalities. Rates range from $250 to $700 USD depending on duration and number of participants.
The residency is open to art students, visual artists, and printmakers. Experience in less toxic printmaking techniques is a requirement for the Self-Directed modality.
Interested artists should contact Radal Studio at info@radal.ar to discuss their project and define a work plan, or apply through the provided form link.
