About the Open Call

ArtWorks, in partnership with 3CDC, is commissioning a large-scale mural for the exterior facade of the Whex Parking Garage at 212 W. 4th Street, Cincinnati. The project is part of a larger renovation of the Cincinnati Convention Center. The theme 'Convergence: Pieces Creating a Whole' celebrates uniting diverse elements to form a cohesive whole. Three semi-finalists will be selected to create design proposals, from which one finalist will be chosen to create the fully rendered mural design. While production experience is not required, the design must be approachable and enhance the experience of downtown visitors.

What is Offered

Three semi-finalists will receive a $500 design fee for their proposals. One finalist will receive a $5,000 design fee to create the final mural design.

Requirements

Artists must have experience with 2-dimensional design development. Mural production experience is not required. Must be able to submit designs digitally and meet project deadlines. Open to artists of all backgrounds and ages.

How to Apply

Submit applications through the CaFÉ platform. Applicants must provide a Resume/CV, 250-word Artist Bio, Artist Headshot, link to a digital portfolio, 3-5 images of completed artworks from the last ten years, and a one-page letter of interest describing their interest in the project.
