About the Open Call

Forecast is an international mentorship program that invites applications for project ideas to be developed with specific mentors. The program involves a selection process for the Forecast Festival, where participants showcase their concepts. Those selected for the subsequent individual mentoring phase receive financial and production support. Mentors for the current edition include Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa, Tom Cassani, Keren Cytter, Heinali, Lucy McRae, and Almagul Menlibayeva.

What is Offered

Participants selected for the Forecast Festival receive reimbursement for travel and accommodation costs and an artist fee. Those selected for the subsequent individual mentoring phase receive an additional artist fee and a production budget.

Requirements

Applicants can apply as individuals or collectives. They must provide a project proposal, relevant portfolio material, a CV, and be able to participate in the Forecast Festival in July. Projects can span visual art, architecture, dance, theater, music, film, design, literature, curation, or gaming.

How to Apply

Applicants must fill out the online form defining their core concept (1400 characters max) and submitting a project proposal PDF, a portfolio PDF, and a CV. Additionally, they must describe three important moments in their life (900 characters max).
