World Dance Movement
The World Dance Movement International Virtual Dance Competition will provide dancers the opportunity to qualify for the 'World Dancer of the Year' 2026 in Italy and receive constructive feedback from top international judges. Participants upload their dance video(s) for judging, and recorded vocal feedback will be available after the competition. All entries will be broadcast live online on April 11, 2026, followed by a prerecorded Award Ceremony announcing winners. The event includes divisions for Student (7-11 years old), Junior (12-16 years old), and Senior (17 years old and over) dancers. Dance categories include Classical/Neo-Classical Ballet, Contemporary/Modern, Jazz/Lyrical, Show Dance/Open/Tap, and Street Dance/Commercial. There is also a 'Best Choreography' category for groups. All nationalities are welcome to participate.
Overall top cash prizes are awarded for the highest scores: $200 for solo, $250 for duo, and $300 for best choreography. Solos scoring 96.5 or above qualify for the 'World Dancer of the Year' competition in Italy. Scholarship prizes include electronic placement certificates, and First and Second place SOLO, DUO & TRIO winners receive a special scholarship to WDM Italy 2026 or another dance event. All participants receive an electronic Certificate of Participation and a gift of the 'Complete Forster Structural Program-Strength and Flexibility' (retail value $29.99).
Open to all nationalities. Competitors' ages are calculated from January 1, 2026, with divisions for Student (7-11 years), Junior (12-16 years), and Senior (17+ years). Dancers must adhere to specific dance categories for submission. Video submission is required. Full rules and regulations are available on the website.
