About the Open Call

Watershed’s residency program offers artists of all shapes or forms, at various stages in their career, the time, space, and community to encourage growth and experimentation in their practice. The residency provides studio space converted from an old fish factory and farm shed that is suitable for all types of artists. Living accommodations for up to six artists at a time are provided in newly refurbished cottages with kitchenettes, located a one-minute walk from the studios. The site features undisturbed views of the river Corrib and surrounding fields, providing an environment for escape, thought, and production.

What is Offered

Two 12m x 12m multipurpose studio spaces, accommodation in refurbished cottages with three rooms, living space, and kitchenette, and access to a community of international artists.

Requirements

Artists must provide a CV, a short letter of intent, and a portfolio consisting of six images or a digital link (website/Instagram).
