About the Open Call

WATER: H2O – one of the first chemical equations we learn. Water surrounds us as rivers, lakes, oceans, seas. This call is about how you, the photographer, capture water in all its forms. Whether it is the crest of water hitting a seaside rock, steam, ice, raindrops, waterfalls, or serene lakes. Black and white, color, and abstract - all 2D photographic mediums are welcome. The call uses a blind jury process.

What is Offered

Total of $4,000 in cash awards, including a $1,100 Grand Prize. Winners are featured in the NYC4PA Online Gallery and Award Winners Catalog and receive an award certificate.

Requirements

Open to amateur and professional photographers worldwide. Only 2-D photographic work is eligible. Images must not contain signatures or watermarks. Images that have won an NYC4PA prize in the past 2 years are ineligible.

How to Apply

Submit images and payment through the smarterentry portal: https://client.smarterentry.com/nyc4pa. Images should be JPG files with the longest side a minimum of 1,280 pixels.
