About the Open Call

In honor of the United States’ Semiquincentennial and the Presidents Cup, the College of DuPage will present Walking With Giants. The exhibition features ten larger-than-life painted silhouettes depicting influential American figures in art, performance, writing, and music. Selected artists will design and paint these silhouettes, which are fabricated and installed by the arts center. The project aims to reflect on the nation's past and future through public art installed along a walkable route across the campus.

What is Offered

A budget of $10,000 plus materials.

Requirements

Artists must be able to travel to and work on the College of DuPage campus using their own transportation for on-site production in spring 2026. Applicants must demonstrate experience with large-scale, public-facing, or outdoor projects and be comfortable working with durable exterior materials.

How to Apply

Artists must submit a single PDF containing five samples of comparable work, an artist statement, and a CV via the Artwork Archive submission portal.
