About the Open Call

Entering its sixth season, Visions of Self is an international online exhibition sponsored by Yosemite Sierra Artists. The show features female artists from around the world, presenting the female experience through various subjects like self-portraiture and internal states. The exhibition stays live for at least one year on MettaGallery.com, providing long-term visibility and exhibition credit.

What is Offered

Awards include Best of Show ($200 + Ribbon), 1st Place ($125 + Ribbon), 2nd Place ($75 + Ribbon), 3rd Place ($50 + Ribbon), and Honorable Mentions. All accepted works receive visibility on the gallery's website for at least one year.

Requirements

Open to female artists worldwide. Work must be original and can be in any media; however, AI-generated images are strictly prohibited and will be disqualified. Artists may include a 'Vision Statement' with their piece.

How to Apply

Artists can submit their work through the online application form found at https://mettagallery.com/visions-of-self/submit-2026/. The fee is $20 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry.
