About the Open Call

VAA OpenSpaces empowers artists to curate their own exhibitions in unconventional or everyday spaces within their own communities. Running from November 2nd to November 28th, 2026, the initiative provides a global platform for artists to reach new audiences beyond the traditional gallery system. Participants benefit from inclusion in an international digital map, promotion to a network of 30,000 artists and collectors, and access to marketing and PR toolkits.

What is Offered

Inclusion in a global digital exhibition map, promotional features across VAA media channels, marketing toolkits (social media templates, QR signage), and access to professional development workshops and mentorship.

Requirements

Open to individual artists and collectives worldwide across all artistic mediums. Artists must be prepared to secure their own local venue and manage the logistics of their exhibition.

How to Apply

Artists must complete the online application form and upload up to three images of their work along with one headshot. Successful applicants are responsible for securing their own venue and the installation/de-installation of their work.
