Utah Arts & Museums
The Utah Artist Fellowships support professional and committed individual artists reaching pivotal moments in their artistic practices. Fellowships are awarded in Literary Arts, Performing Arts (Music for the 2026 cycle), and Visual Arts & Design. Recipients receive a one-time $5,000 award based on a review of their application narrative and work samples from the past five years. The program is not intended for beginners or for specific project support.

Applicants must be at least 25 years old, a Utah resident living primarily in Utah for two consecutive years prior to the deadline, and possess a U.S. Tax ID. Individuals enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degrees in arts-related fields are ineligible. Applicants must have a substantial, independent body of work over at least a five-year professional career. Artist teams are not eligible.
Applications must be submitted online via Submittable. Required materials include a professional bio (200-300 words), an artist statement (300-500 words), a description of intent (max 300 words), a professional CV or résumé (max 6 pages), and specific work samples based on the artistic discipline.
