About the Open Call
The Countryside juried art exhibition encourages submissions from artists 18 and older in any medium, style, and genre. Acceptable media include traditional art media (oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, drawing), digital painting, and crafts (beadwork, pottery, embroidery, stained glass, etc.). No profanity or political artwork is permitted. Each participant receives a personal page on the UPWARD gallery website featuring their work, biography, artist statement, and social media links.
What is Offered
Winners receive an interview published in UPWARD's Quarterly printed edition and on the website. Digital certificates (1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Merit, Honorable Mention, Finalist, and Participation) are awarded. Selected works are presented in printed and curated online galleries with social media promotion.
Requirements
Artists must be at least 18 years old. Artworks must not contain profanity or political themes.
