Watershed
The Undershed team are inviting submissions of finished immersive or interactive artworks. In Autumn/Winter 2025, as part of our year-long theme of Home, there will be an exhibition themed around the question: What does home mean to you? This forms part of wider programming across Watershed, including film, talks, immersive art and workshops that reflect on how we find, make, imagine, long for and escape home. For more inspiration on this theme, see this piece of writing by Pervasive Media Studio Executive Producer Jo Lansdowne. The exhibition will run from October 2025 to February 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed). Please note that we can only consider finished work – this is not a commissioning process. To find our more about the call for submissions, watch the video below with curator Amy Rose who did an online Q & A session on Tue 8 July 13:00. About Undershed: Undershed is Watershed’s gallery, dedicated to showcasing the best immersive and interactive artwork from around the world. We curate themed exhibitions throughout the year, featuring both solo installations and group shows.
If your work is selected, we will pay an artist licence fee, agree on paid labour for planning and installation, and collaborate on all technical and logistical needs. Full details of the offer will be shared if work is selected.
Finished immersive or interactive artworks only; this is not a commissioning process.
To apply, complete the form below or send an audio or video file (maximum 10 minutes) responding to the questions to undershed@watershed.co.uk by Sun 20 July 2025.
