Underground Walkway Gallery Award: Call for Exhibition Plans

About the Open Call

The 500-m Underground Walkway Gallery is hosting a special competition to select two exhibition plans for the SIAF2027. Selected artists or curators will exhibit their work in a dedicated 48-meter space in the underground concourse. Applications are open to individuals and teams for solo, curated, or group exhibitions. Selection involves a document screening and an interview.

What is Offered

Includes artist fee of 300,000 JPY, production budget of 200,000 JPY, and travel/shipping allowances based on location (ranging from 50,000 to 250,000 JPY).

Requirements

Applicants must create an exhibition plan based on the theme PLANET SNOW — upas mintar / upas nociw. Must be available for installation in January 2027 and removal in March 2027.
