About the Open Call

The UKCPS Silver Exhibition is an open call for entries to all living artists aged 18 or over, showcasing the capabilities of the colour pencil medium. Submissions must consist of at least 50% dry colour pencil, with the remaining 50% allowed in any other medium. All work must be original in concept, design, and execution, and not previously shown in any UKCPS exhibition. Ineligible works include those copied from copyrighted material, directly from someone else’s photograph (even with permission), or created using AI-generated images for reference. Artists may submit a maximum of 5 entries, with up to two works selected for exhibition. There are specific framing requirements, including using a plain wood or wood composite frame with a minimum depth of 15mm. Overseas artists are welcome but are responsible for all carrier costs, tariffs, and taxes. The exhibition will be open to the public from 17th to 21st March 2026. Awards are to be announced. Successful applicants grant permission for the Society to use images for publicity. UKCPS members with selected artwork may qualify for UKCPS signature status.
