About the Open Call
Set in Riyadh's Tahlia district, the Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium explores transformation as both a physical process and a metaphor for urban renewal. The theme, 'Traces of What Will Be', references the history of the site as Riyadh's first desalination plant. Selected artists are invited to work with local stone and reclaimed metal to create new sculptural works that mark the present while imagining the future. The project culminates in an exhibition at the site of creation.
What is Offered
Participation in an international sculpture symposium and an on-site exhibition.
Requirements
