About the Open Call

The Arts Council has designed this rolling programme to provide support to enable established Bands based in Northern Ireland to travel outside of Northern Ireland. The aims are to develop performance skills, networks, and audiences via showcasing opportunities, and to contribute to the growth of equality of access and musical education. Eligible types include Accordion, Brass, Concert, Flute, Pipe, and Wind bands.

What is Offered

Funding for travel costs including flight/boat/train/bus tickets, vehicle hire, and fuel costs.

Requirements

Bands must be based in Northern Ireland, formally constituted, and established for at least 2 years. They must belong to the specified band categories (Accordion, Brass, Concert, Flute, Pipe, or Wind) and have a confirmed invitation to perform outside of Northern Ireland.

How to Apply

Applicants must be formally constituted bands based in Northern Ireland and must provide evidence of an invitation to showcase or perform by a relevant organisation or promoter. It is recommended to speak with the relevant art form officer before submitting an application.
