LUX Center for the Arts
This exhibition explores the tactile language of texture, from smooth to rough and layered to ephemeral. LUX Center for the Arts seeks artworks that highlight the sensory experience of texture through surface, materiality, and illusion. A unique component of this show is the request for selected artists to provide a small sample piece of their material (if conducive) for visitors to safely handle, bridging the gap between audience and artwork. All mediums are welcome, and works are typically for sale under consignment.
Inclusion in a juried group exhibition, return shipping of artwork covered by the gallery, and the opportunity for art sales via consignment.
Works must demonstrate a clear emphasis on texture. Artists may be required to provide a small sample piece for tactile engagement. Selected work is considered for sale under consignment unless otherwise specified. Artists are responsible for shipping or delivery to the gallery by April 25, 2026.
Artists should complete the online submission form on Airtable, providing up to 5 images of their work (300 dpi preferred), an artist statement of maximum 200 words regarding the connection to the theme, and a list of works with titles, dimensions, medium, and year.
