Thames Festival Trust
The Totally Thames Festival is an annual season of unique, diverse, and inclusive arts and culture throughout September. We collaborate with artists, communities, and river interest organisations to explore the river’s past, celebrate its present, and protect its future. Artists, performers, or makers developing a project inspired by the River Thames or its tidal tributaries are invited to apply for the Seed Funder Programme to receive support for participation in the 2026 festival. We are open to ideas across all artforms including theatre, dance, music, visual art, environmental artwork, and installation.
Seed money of up to £1,000 for project development, a marketing package (worth £2,000) including inclusion in Totally Thames’ PR campaign and a bespoke video content package, mentoring meetings with the festival team, and networking opportunities with artists and industry professionals.
Artists must have a fully formed Thames, waterway, or sustainability-themed project, experience on at least one previous artistic project, and be available to present their work in London, on or near the Thames, between 1–30 September 2026. Applicants can apply with a secured venue or note down venue requirements for assistance.
To apply, please fill out the application form provided on the website. Applicants also have the option to answer the questions in a video (maximum 5 minutes) and send a link with any necessary passwords to Annabel. Online one-to-one catch-ups are available for those with ideas to discuss; contact Annabel at A.Taylor-Munt@thamesfestival.org to book a place.
