About the Open Call

TOAF is Canada's longest-running and largest juried outdoor art fair. It provides a launchpad for independent artists to showcase and sell their work to a large audience of collectors and art lovers at Nathan Phillips Square and online. The fair celebrates 65 years in 2026, offering significant awards and media visibility.

$65,000 in awards, over $2 million in art sales, exhibition space at Nathan Phillips Square, online platform visibility, and media coverage.

Requirements

Juried selection based on artistic excellence, originality, and consistency. Open to individual artists and makers at all career stages and backgrounds working in photography, sculpture, painting, printmaking, illustration, glass, wood, textiles, jewellery and more.

How to Apply

Apply online at toaf.ca. Requirements include 6 cohesive artwork images, 1 image of art in context, a 500-character artist statement, and a 200-character description of the art/process.
