About the Open Call

This is an open call for "Tiny Works," an annual group exhibition hosted by The Fulton Street Collective in Chicago, IL. The exhibition will run from December 5, 2025, to January 3, 2026. Dates at a Glance: Entry Deadline: Wednesday, November 26, 2025 Acceptance Notification: Friday, November 28, 2025 Artwork Drop off: Sunday, November 30 from 11am–3pm and Monday, December 1 from 3–7pm. Opening Reception: Friday, December 5, 2025, 6–10pm Exhibition: December 5, 2025 – January 3, 2026 Artwork Pick up: Saturday, January 3 2026, 11–3pm Curator: Ryan Miller. Location: The Fulton Street Collective, Chicago, IL. Artwork drop-off is at 1821 W. Hubbard Suite 307, Chicago, IL. Shipped artworks are not accepted. Entry Fees: A non-refundable fee of $35 is required for up to four pieces. This fee does not guarantee acceptance. Exhibition Requirements: All types of hanging art will be considered, but MUST be able to be hung from a wall. The maximum length of any side is 14 inches. Drawings on paper must be framed. Paintings need not be framed, but must be wired or have a sawtooth hanger attached to the frame that is strong enough to support the artwork. Artists may submit up to four pieces, and must provide the title, dimensions, media, price (if for sale), and payment information for each submitted piece. FSC will provide labels to accompany each artwork. Artwork will remain up during all events and concerts at The Fulton Street Collective until pickup day. Sales: Work may be for sale; NFS is allowed. The artist is responsible for establishing the price of each piece. FSC will not be taking a commission on any art sales. Artists are encouraged to broker their own transactions. In the event of a sale where the artist is not present, FSC will broker the transaction using the payment information provided. Presence during the opening night is highly preferred. Liability: Every care in handling artwork will be taken by installers, but no liability is assumed if artwork is damaged in transport or installation due to improper packaging. Artwork Drop off: Art drop off is at The Fulton Street Collective, 1821 W. Hubbard Suite 307, Chicago, IL. Drop-off days are Sunday, November 30, 2025 (11am–3pm) and Monday, December 1, 2025 (3–7pm). No late entries or shipped artworks will be accepted. Artwork Pick up: Pickup of unsold artwork will be Saturday, January 3, 2026, 11am–3pm. Artwork not picked up by February 3, 2026, becomes the property of FSC. Image and Filename Specifications: File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG (JPG) image files, using the sRGB color profile. Other formats are not accepted. Cropping: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible; do not show matting, frames, or background distractions. Orientation: Images must be oriented correctly. Image Size: Images should be at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge. The file size must be no larger than 30 MB. Smaller images cannot be enlarged. Automatic Resizing: ShowSubmit automatically resizes images to 300 DPI and 1500 pixels on the longest edge if they exceed specifications. File Naming: Files are automatically renamed using your last name, first initial, and the title of the work (e.g., Hamby_D_BeautifulDay.jpg). Quality Tips: Use your camera’s highest quality setting, ensure artwork is well-lit, avoid glare, and use a tripod for stability. Additional Entry Information: Entry payment is by credit or debit card using a secure checkout system. After submission and payment, artists may log in to review, edit, and add/substitute images up until the entry deadline (November 26, 2025). Entry fees are not refundable. No shipped artworks or late entries will be accepted.
