Throwing Shade is a three-part art event exploring the meaning of shade through mural creation, community art making, and an Earth Day celebration. Artists are invited to apply for a juried show to create 4' x 8' panel murals. Additional community participation includes an Art Mob where participants create panels to be installed in bee hotels at Webster Park. The event series concludes with an Earth Day reception featuring murals, Art Mob pieces, and local community activities.
Selected artists will receive a 4'x8' plywood panel to create a mural for display in Webster Park as part of a juried show.
