About the Open Call

The MAA invites artist members to take visitors on a journey where the everyday meets the fantastical. This themed exhibit encourages interpretations involving reflections, glass, light, shadow, and optical illusions, or the transformation of familiar scenes into something magical. Artists may submit one work to be presented in the ballroom and third floor hallway as part of a month-long celebration of art, concluding with a fundraising gala on April 11, 2026.

What is Offered

Inclusion in a physical exhibition at the Marblehead Arts Association, feature in an online gallery, and exposure during the fundraising gala.

Requirements

Open only to juried artist members of the Marblehead Arts Association. Limit one entry per artist. Artwork must be delivered in person on specific take-in dates (Feb 22, 12-5 PM or Feb 24, 8 AM-8 PM).

How to Apply

Submit online via the JotForm link. Artists must upload a JPG file named in the format 'First name-Last name-Title' with titles under 50 characters. The $10 fee is paid in person via cash, check, or credit card during take-in dates (February 22 or February 24, 2026). Fee is waived for Premier Artist Members.
