About the Open Call

The 'Threads' exhibition (May 2026) explores the tradition of thread to embellish, communicate, and decorate, curated by Leah Gordon. The 'Feast' exhibition (September 2026) focuses on food-themed artworks, ranging from people feasting to sumptuous banquets. Both exhibitions accept 2D and 3D works but exclude video, installation, and AI-generated art. Artists can submit up to two artworks and two types of merchandise for consideration.

What is Offered

Selected artists will have their work exhibited in a professional gallery setting. Sales incur a 30% commission.

Requirements

Works must be original and not AI-generated. 2D works for 'Threads' must be under 600mm x 800mm; for 'Feast' under 800mm x 1200mm. 3D works must be under 500mm x 800mm. Works must include correct hanging hardware. Artists outside Brisbane must organize couriers to deliver works by specified dates.
