Theater aan de Rijn
VIERxVIER is an adventurous showcase and touring project for contemporary choreography. Four makers, each with a distinct choreographic voice and physical language, will create a new short work of approximately 15 minutes. Together, the four pieces form a full evening programme that will tour black box venues in both the Netherlands and Germany. Exchange is at the heart of the project. Throughout the process, the four makers work alongside one another, sharing research, rehearsals, and peer-to-peer feedback. VIERxVIER welcomes new and contemporary approaches to dance and expanded choreography, across a wide range of genres and movement practices. Following two editions hosted by Theater a/d Rijn, the third edition of VIERxVIER marks a new collaboration with Dance Company Theater Osnabrück. This partnership allows two of the four selected makers to work with a larger ensemble.
