"THE WORLD OF THE HETEROSEXUAL IS A SICK AND BORING LIFE" is a mini-fringe festival taking place in a DIY venue in Rogers Park. The event raises money for trans comrades incarcerated in prisons and by ICE. The festival seeks experimental works including performance art, strange theatre, puppetry, drag, storytelling, clown, movement, and rituals. Selected participants receive performance documentation and festival passes. The event emphasizes a fringe mentality with minimal technical requirements.

Performance photos and complimentary passes for the rest of the mini-fringe for the artist and a friend.

Requirements

Works must be experimental and queer in nature. Artists must be available for tech rehearsals during the week of June 23rd and for performances on June 26th, 27th, or 28th, 2026. Projects should require minimal setup and strike for a DIY venue setting.
