Museum of the Bible
The Valley of Dry Bones art invitational seeks to inspire the creation of new artwork based on Ezekiel 37:1–14, the biblical vision in which God brings life, renewal, and restoration to a valley of dry bones. Museum of the Bible invites Christian and Jewish artists to create original pieces in a variety of visual media that reflect their personal and spiritual interpretations of this theme. Fifteen selected artists will be featured in a professional exhibition at the museum from May 7 to November 7, 2027.
Each chosen artist will receive a stipend of $3,000 to cover creation, travel, and shipping costs. The museum provides professional exhibition design, promotional coverage through social media and special events, and covers return shipping.
Artists must be of the Christian or Jewish faith and legal residents of the continental United States. Entries must be original, created exclusively for this exhibition, and never previously shown or sold. Selected artists must travel to Washington, DC, for the opening on May 6, 2027.
Submit an online application including a letter of interest, artist biography with photo, list of qualifications/prior exhibitions, digital JPG images of prior work, a planned vision for the artwork (with sketches or samples), and an artist statement of up to 250 words.
