About the Open Call

Artists from the Balkan region are invited to create a three-dimensional sculpture of the Common Nightingale (18-20cm long, 12-15cm high) and provide photographic documentation in a meaningful local context alongside a 30-60 second sound recording. Projects will be presented in Smilevo (North Macedonia) and the Prespa region (Greece) as part of a growing archive and interactive digital map.

What is Offered

Inclusion in a collective exhibition and interactive digital map, with potential for inclusion in future international exhibitions.

Requirements

Artists must be from Balkan countries. Sculptures must have a 5mm opening on the underside for mounting. Participants are responsible for shipping costs of their artworks.

Full submission requirements include the physical sculpture, digital documentation (PNG image, WAV/MP3 sound, text, and geo-location links).
