The R2 Space - Rele Arts Foundation Residency

About the Open Call

The R2 Space residency provides an environment supporting independent creative and research projects from conception to presentation. The program invites mid-career artists (ages 35 and up) from Africa and the diaspora. Residencies last between one to three months with 12 to 36 spots available annually. The Foundation encourages critical engagement with Lagos, though other research areas are welcome. Participants receive a monthly stipend and potential exhibition opportunities.

What is Offered

Monthly stipend of $500, workspace provision, and the option to present projects in the gallery space.

Requirements

Mid-career status (ages 35 and up), professional practice, and working knowledge of the English language.
