About the Open Call

The R & M McGivern Prize 2025/26: Atmosphere invites submissions of original paintings. The prize features two acquisitive awards of $25,000 each. Entries must be predominantly oil or watercolour (including gouache) and completed since January 1, 2025. Maximum dimensions are 160cm x 160cm. Entrants must be residents of Australia.

What is Offered

$50,000 total prize money, consisting of two acquisitive prizes of $25,000 each.

Requirements

Entrants must be artists living in Australia. Artwork must be an original painting, created since January 1, 2025, using predominantly oil or watercolour/gouache, with a maximum size of 160cm x 160cm.
