Fringe Arts Bath
Curated by Ömer Ekmel Kara, this project investigates how meaning, identity, and motion are shaped, manipulated, or stolen. It examines the systems that script our roles, categorized through three themes: The Puppet (subjects), The Puppeteer (controllers), and their relations. Accepted media includes paintings, sculptures, puppets, masks, performative work, digital art, AI-driven works, and experimental video.
Inclusion in the Fringe Arts Bath Festival running from 22 May to 6 June 2026.
Submissions are open to artists of any age, status, and location. If selected, artists are asked for a £25 contribution (crowdfunding model) and to volunteer some of their time.
Email the curator at puppet@fringeartsbath.co.uk. Include the exhibition name in the email title, a maximum of 200 words about your work (written, audio, or video), images or links to video/performance work, and any relevant links.
