Harvard Graduate School of Design
The Loeb Fellowship provides a year of reflection and renewal for professionals in architecture, urban planning, public art, and journalism. Fellows join the Harvard Graduate School of Design community, audit courses, participate in weekly seminars and dinners, and engage in study tours. A specialized joint Loeb/ArtLab Fellowship is available for artists, offering additional studio space and project resources at ArtLab.
Year-long residency, studio space (via ArtLab), research support, networking with a global alumni network, auditing privileges at Harvard and MIT, and potential project funding.
Applicants must be mid-career practitioners with 5-10 years of experience in their field. International candidates are welcome but must be eligible for a J1 visa. Fellows must remain in residence in Cambridge during the academic year and audit at least one course per semester.
Applications must be submitted through the SlideRoom online portal. Requirements include an application form, a professional resume, and three letters of recommendation. Submission of a portfolio or supplemental materials (articles, videos, lectures) is optional but highly recommended.
