About the Open Call
The residency programme is open to artists from Poland and abroad who are active in literature or visual arts. The selected residents (one writer and one visual artist) will collaborate to prepare the next edition of the Literary Map of Gdańsk. The stay lasts from 2 to 5 weeks between early April and mid-July 2026. The program provides a weekly stipend and accommodation in a single room in an apartment in Gdańsk.
What is Offered
Gross fee of PLN 1,100 per week, free accommodation in a single room, substantive and logistical support, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
Open to individual or duo applications (priority to duos) from writers and visual artists. Must provide a text excerpt of up to 5,000 characters or an artistic portfolio of up to 10 slides. Residency lasts 2-5 weeks.

Applications must be sent via email to rezydencje@miastoliteratury.com. The submission should include a completed application form, résumé, list of works/exhibitions, text excerpt or artistic portfolio, description of the concept for the Literary Map, and a covering letter in .pdf format.
