About the Open Call

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is hosting 'Colour', an exhibition focused on how color can make a photograph stand out and capture viewer attention. Photographers can submit up to 8 images for consideration. Selected works will be printed, installed, and uninstalled by the gallery for a physical exhibition, and will also be featured in an online gallery and a printed catalogue. Participants receive a digital certificate and a chance to be named Photographer of the Month.

What is Offered

Physical gallery exhibition, inclusion in an online gallery and exhibition catalogue, digital certificate of participation, and consideration for Photographer of the Month. The gallery covers printing and installation costs.

Requirements

Photographers must submit up to 8 JPEG images meeting technical specifications (300ppi, 3000px min side). Open to emerging, established, local, and international photographers. Selected artists must pay a £48.00 participation fee.

How to Apply

Submit 1-8 JPEG images (300ppi, minimum 3000 pixels on shortest side) via a file transfer service (Smash, SwissTransfer, WeTransfer, or Dropbox) to submissions@glasgowgalleryofphotography.com. Files must be named in the format 'Firstname-Surname'. Include your name, nationality/residency, and the exhibition title in the submission.
