Premio COMEL
The COMEL Award, also known as Premio COMEL, is an annual competition that aims to highlight the versatile expressive, aesthetic, communicative, and constructive possibilities of aluminum as an artistic medium. It strives to strengthen the relationship between the business sector and contemporary art, creating a vital and significant synergy between the public and artists, while also promoting intercultural relations among European countries. The call is open to artists aged 18 and older operating within European countries. Entrants are required to submit original or unreleased artworks where aluminum serves as the main and significant material. Accepted techniques include painting, sculpture, design, photography, and installation. Selection criteria emphasize quality, research, originality, and contemporaneity of the submitted work. The main events and exhibition associated with the award are held at the Spazio COMEL Arte Contemporanea, located in the historic center of Latina, Italy, a venue established in February 2012 that blends art with corporate history, tradition with innovation.
The Award offers an exhibition opportunity for 13 selected artists, aiming to draw attention to the expressive possibilities of aluminum and promote intercultural relations.
Open to artists aged 18 and older operating in any European country. Works must use aluminum as the main and significant medium. Techniques accepted include painting, sculpture, design, photography, and installation.
