About the Open Call

The Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award 2026 invites eligible entrants to submit applications for a unique art opportunity. The final winning work will be prominently exhibited at Abu Dhabi Art, NYU Abu Dhabi, and Umm El Emarat Park in November/December 2026. Applicants must complete an application form including a proposed budget and be supported by a mentor. What is Offered

Exhibition of the winning art work at Abu Dhabi Art, NYU Abu Dhabi, and Umm El Emarat Park.

Requirements

Entrants must be a resident of the UAE who has graduated from a university or college within the last five years, OR a full-time degree student enrolled at a university or college in the UAE. All applicants require the support and nomination of a mentor (from either within or outside of the university system).

How to Apply

Applicants must complete an application form including a proposed budget. Follow the provided external link to Slideroom to fill out and submit your application. Additionally, download and fill out the Budget Form and Production Schedule Form, then submit them with your application. A mentor's support and nomination are required.
