The Burlington Contemporary Art Writing Prize

About the Open Call

The Burlington Contemporary Art Writing Prize seeks to discover talented writers on contemporary art. The winner receives £1,000, publication on Burlington Contemporary, and an opportunity to publish a review in The Burlington Magazine. Entrants must have published no more than six pieces of writing in print or online prior to submission. The submission must be an unpublished review (800-1,000 words) of an exhibition of art produced since 2000 that is current or has closed within the last six months. Open to writers globally; no age limit.

Requirements

Entrants must have published no more than six pieces of professional writing. Must be an unpublished review of a contemporary art exhibition (art since 2000) between 800-1,000 words. Writers previously published in The Burlington Magazine or Burlington Contemporary are not eligible.
