About the Open Call

Founded in 1947, the North American Print Biennial promotes excellence and innovation in printmaking. The 2026 edition is juried by Esther Adler, Curator at MoMA. The exhibition will be hosted at the 808 Gallery at Boston University. Purchase prizes will be placed into permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Art Complex Museum; the Boston Athenaeum; and the Boston Public Library. The exhibition also generates significant sales through patron and public purchases.

What is Offered

Over $10,000 in juror-designated purchase prizes and materials awards, placement in permanent institutional collections, and exhibition in a major gallery setting with sales commissions.

Requirements

Open to North American artists 18 years and older. Eligible works include original, innovative prints in all printmaking media completed between 2023-2026. Photographs and offset reproductions are not accepted. Work must be framed in simple black metal or wood frames with Plexiglas and white mats.

How to Apply

All entries must be submitted online at www.callforentry.org. Upload up to three digital images (JPEG only, minimum 1920 pixels on the longer side, max 5 MB). Entry fee is $50 for non-members and $35 for members with a coupon code.
