About the Open Call

The Blue Show is a Summer 2025 exhibit by Saint Marks Arts, on view from July 24 - August 7 at 125 Rivington Street (at Essex), Lower East Side, NYC. An Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, July 24 from 6PM - 8PM. We invite emerging and established artists to submit works in any medium, including Painting, Sculpture, Digital Art, Video/Projection, Mixed Media, and Performance Art. All submissions should align with the exhibition’s theme of envisioning the future. Works cannot be wider than 36 inches and must use the color blue. The exhibition is curated by Kimberly Salib, Executive Director of Art Gotham. Artists are responsible for artwork delivery and collection, and must have their artwork available for the entire duration of the exhibition. No artwork can be withdrawn before the show closes, and no price changes will be allowed after submission. Saint Marks Arts reserves the right to exclude work that does not match submitted images, arrives in poor condition, or is too fragile for display. Priority consideration will be given to members of Saint Marks Arts.

What is Offered

Saint Marks Arts will provide the large gallery space at 125 Rivington @ Essex for the exhibition, create an info sheet & price list, and implement an Instagram and email marketing campaign to promote the show. They will handle all sales, retaining a commission of 50% for in-gallery purchases and 60% (artist receives 40%) for sales represented by Artsy. They will use best efforts via in-person contact to sell the artwork.
