About the Open Call

The Billboard Art Competition 2025, organized by the Art Moves Festival, challenges artists to reflect on the theme: 'Love or anxiety? How can we stop escaping and take responsibility for our own fate and the fate of the world?'. This theme serves as a metaphor for current global challenges, societal turmoil, and the individual struggle with overwhelming changes and emotions. It prompts artists to explore how to overcome escapism and anxiety to take collective responsibility and find energy for positive action. The competition is open to all artists interested in billboard art. Selected works will be displayed on billboards in the city space of Toruń, Poland, during the Art Moves Festival in September 2025. The author of the most compelling work will receive the Main Award of PLN 6000 (approx. EUR 1404, USD 1615). There is no entry fee.

What is Offered

Eight most interesting works will be displayed on billboards in the city space during the Art Moves Festival in September 2025 in Toruń, Poland. The author of the most interesting work will receive the Main Award in the amount of PLN 6000.

Requirements

The Competition is open and all artists interested in billboard art are invited to take part.
