Muskegon Museum of Art
The Bennett Prize provides $75,000 to the winning artist, awarded over two years. Ten finalists are selected for a traveling exhibition organized by the Muskegon Museum of Art. A runner-up award of $10,000 is also granted. The prize is exclusively for women painters over 18 residing in the U.S. who practice figurative realism. Entries must be original paintings on a two-dimensional surface completed in the last five years. Winners and finalists must meet specific eligibility requirements regarding student status and availability for exhibition and travel.
$75,000 for the winner, $10,000 for the runner-up, and travel/lodging for the exhibition opening event.
Must be a woman artist, 18+ years old, residing at least part-time in the U.S. Practice must be figurative realism paintings. Must not be a student during specified award periods. Must participate in the traveling exhibition and provide work for exhibition. See full legal agreement for specific eligibility constraints.
Applications must be submitted digitally via the CaFÉ (www.callforentry.org) website by searching for 'Bennett'. Artists must submit 3-5 artworks plus one detail image (total 4-6 files).
