Women United ART MOVEMENT
The Atlas of Contemporary Women Artists is a long-term publishing series mapping contemporary women artists across the world, continent by continent. Volume I focuses on North America (Indigenous nations, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean). The project aims to create a curated, critical, and deeply human record of contemporary artistic practice, documenting how women artists live, work, resist, and create in relation to place and power. It functions as an international research-oriented publication and a long-term archive.
Inclusion in the print and digital publication, a curated artist profile contextualized within a continental framework, long-term visibility in an international research publication, and a digital copy of the Atlas.
Open to women artists across all media and disciplines within the visual arts who are based in or from North America (including Indigenous nations, Canada, US, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean).
Submit via the online Wufoo form. Applicants must prepare an artist bio (max 300 words), artist statement (max 300 words), a statement on project relevance (max 300 words), a high-resolution headshot/studio shot (min 300 DPI), and up to 5 images of recent work (min 300 DPI).
