About the Open Call

The Art of Progress Prize is a global award supporting the next generation of creative changemakers. We invite artists aged 35 and under whose multi-sensory, environmentally conscious practices—ranging from bio-art and data visualization to scent-driven installations—push creative boundaries. Ten finalists will be nominated, with up to five exhibiting at dsm-firmenich's Swiss headquarters. The Grand Prize winner receives €15,000, a year-long mentorship, and potential future collaborations.

What is Offered

A €15,000 cash development prize, inclusion in an exhibition at the Swiss headquarters, a one-year mentorship with dsm-firmenich science and creative teams, and potential future collaborations. Artists retain 100% of proceeds from any artwork sales.

Requirements

Open to artists aged 18 to 35 at the time of application. Open to individuals and collectives of any nationality. Proposals must engage with sustainability through multisensory approaches (visual, spatial, material, or sonic).

How to Apply

Complete the online application form between 25 November 2025 and 1 March 2026. Applicants must submit a portfolio (max 3 artworks), CV, artist statement (max 300 words), artwork documentation (JPGs or video links), and a statement of intent.
