About the Open Call

The Cinema program provides grants for feature-length and short films. For features, it supports projects in development, production, or post-production. For short films, it supports projects in production and post-production, provided the director hasn't made a feature film previously. Grants range from USD 10,000 for development up to USD 50,000 for production.

What is Offered

Grants for features: Development (up to 10,000 USD), Production (up to 50,000 USD), Post-production (up to 25,000 USD). Grants for shorts: Production (up to 20,000 USD), Post-production (up to 10,000 USD).

Requirements

Open to Arab directors and producers in the Arab region or the diaspora. Non-Arab producers can apply if the director is Arab. Applicants must not have an open AFAC grant. Specific director-level experience requirements apply for short film categories.
