Fringe Arts Bath
The exhibition invites artists to reinterpret and mis-imagine relics for a history exhibit on the historical period of the 2020s. Artists are encouraged to create objects, images, performances, or text that mythologize our current decade from the perspective of a future culture. The curator is interested in works that question societal power structures or offer optimistic views of the modern world, exploring themes like the personification of brands (e.g., Nestle as a military force) or social media as a literal drug.
Opportunity to exhibit work as part of the Fringe Arts Bath 2026 program.
Artists must provide full name, email, up to 5 images of previous work, up to 5 audio/video files of previous work, a description of relevant experience (300 words max), social media/website links, a CV, and a 500-word proposal responding to the creative prompt.
Submit a proposal responding to the Creative Prompt in approximately 500 words, including at least two ideas for image, text, object, performance, or multi-media artwork. Proposals can be submitted as a PDF, powerpoint, video, or audio file via the provided Google Form, along with previous work examples and a CV.
