About the Open Call

The Animals & Insects Art Challenge invites artists to capture the essence of wildlife, from mammals and birds to insects and aquatic creatures. Selected works are gathered into a curated online collection with direct links to artist portfolios. The challenge is designed to encourage experimentation and provide lasting visibility through spotlights, social media promotion, and professional features.

What is Offered

Best in Show receives a $150 cash award, artist interview, mini-magazine spotlight, and homepage feature. All selected artists receive curated listings, while finalists receive digital certificates and social media highlights.

Requirements

Open to artists worldwide aged 18 and older. Eligible mediums include 2D and 3D works such as painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and digital art. Artists must own the rights to all submitted work.

How to Apply

Artists must complete the online submission form with their name, website, and artist statement. Artwork should be uploaded as JPG or PNG files (maximum 2MB per file, minimum 2000px on the longest side). While the first entry is free for subscribers, the standard fee for additional images starts at $18 for two works.
