TBQA OPEN CALL — EXHIBITIONS IN OUR NEW SPACE (CDMX)

The Bureau of Queer Art

$25 Application Fee

About the Open Call

TBQA is opening the doors to our new home in Mexico City, and we’re inviting queer and allied artists to take the walls, the room, the air. This isn’t a 'submit and pray' situation. We’re building a tight exhibition calendar with artists who are serious about their work, hungry for dialogue, and ready to show up. We’re accepting proposals for solo, duo, and small group exhibitions across painting, photo, textile, sculpture, installation, video, performance, and the gorgeous stuff that doesn’t fit the dropdown menu.

What is Offered

Curatorial support, installation planning, an opening moment, documentation, and visibility through TBQA’s publishing and digital channels.

Requirements

Applicants must be queer or allied artists. Proposals for solo, duo, and small group exhibitions are welcome. Selection criteria focus on work with a clear point of view, risk, and clarity.

How to Apply

Submit via the Artwork Archive portal link provided in the URL. A limit of 5 pieces per submission is allowed, with an additional fee of $5 per piece.
