Tampa International Airport
The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority has identified eight new locations for public art installations due to airport expansion. Six locations are within the new 600,000 square foot Airside D terminal, and two locations are in the security checkpoints for Airsides A & E. Artwork types sought include freestanding sculpture, wall-mounted or ceiling-hung art, technology-based art, and functional elements.
A total budget of $5 million for Airside D projects and $820,000 for Airsides A and E. Shortlisted artists invited to provide a full proposal will receive a $4,000 stipend.
Open to visual artists working in any medium with experience executing projects from concept to installation within specified budgets and timeframes, specifically in the public realm with public agencies. Artists must have completed at least one commission or sale valued at $15,000 or more.
Artists must submit their application via CaFÈ™ at CallForEntry.org. Submissions must include contact information, a statement of interest, a resumé (max 4 pages), confirmation of a past commission or sale of at least $15,000, up to 10 images of past work with descriptions, and three references.
