About the Open Call

The current open call, Take One Action, is a public art project and virtual exhibition inviting artists to propose a single, actionable idea that individuals can take to support democracy and address global challenges. The initiative focuses on transforming art from passive reflection into active participation, engaging audiences with step-by-step actions that respond to issues such as human rights, environmental crises, and civic responsibility. Selected works will be displayed both in public spaces and online, creating a lasting archive of socially engaged artistic responses.

Requirements

Artists are invited to submit 1–2 images (JPEG or PNG format) along with a proposal for one civic action that the public can take. Submissions should demonstrate a clear connection between artistic practice and social engagement, emphasizing accessibility, participation, and impact. Selected artists may have their work exhibited publicly and will contribute to a broader dialogue on collective action and political awareness.
