T3%+!le$: The Language of Fiber invites artists to explore language in its expressive forms—written, spoken, and illustrative—as it relates to the grammar of textiles and the vocabulary of fiber. The exhibition is open to all fiber/textile media, methods, or processes, including text- and sound-based works, alternative signs and symbols, and processes documenting history. Entries are juried by Diana Weymar and include cash awards. Students are eligible for a $15 discount with code STUDENT.
Exhibition opportunity with cash prizes: 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($200), 3rd Place ($100), and an SDA Award of Excellence (one-year membership).
Open to all artists working in fiber/textile media. Up to two artworks total may be submitted. Work must be original, not previously exhibited in an SDA exhibition, and not executed under classroom or educational guidance.
Applications must be submitted online through the CaFÉ (Call for Entry) platform. Artists are required to submit an artist statement and up to two artworks, each with one overall view and at least one detail shot.
